HE’S HAD a brilliant weekend, being crowned the 2014 Formula One World Champion, but Lewis Hamilton might be in the dog house with his girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.
The star was invited onto Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 breakfast show this morning and was challenged to a game of ‘guess the track’.
When his long term girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger’s track Scream was played, Lewis was stumped and said he didn’t recognise the artist.
The song was released back in December 2007 and featured Nicole and American singer Keri Hilson singing on a Timbaland track.
When the short clip of the song finished, Lewis was able to identify the rapper – Timbaland – but not his own girlfriend’s singing voice.

He asked Nick: “Which one is that?”
When the radio host replied, telling him it was his girlfriend’s track, Lewis said: “I can’t believe you did that to me. I’m going to get it when I get home.”
Trying to dig himself out of a hole, he added: “The worst thing is that was a great song. We weren’t together when she did that song.”
It seems Lewis’ musical ambition is something he’s keen to tap into now he’s been crowned champion of the racing track.

The star recognised rapper Timbaland but not Nicole
Speaking to Nick about recording his own music, he admitted he’s had a recording studio built into his home and he’s hoping to spend time in it this winter.
“Music is everything to me. I listen to music before the races and it’s something that keeps me going. I’m always listening to Radio 1 when I’m in the car,” he said.
“Actually, all year long I’ve been in the studio – particularly in between races. Every country I go to I try to find a studio. Instead of going out after a race I like to go to the studio and put down thoughts. I like writing and being creative.”
He added: “I’m singing. I might play you some stuff. I’m taking my time with it and enjoying it. I have a studio in my house, so this winter I’m going in.”
