Kawhi Leonard’s return to San Antonio was greeted with vitriol from Spurs faithful. While Leonard himself did not react to the criticism we all saw coming, his mom finally met her breaking point. With one older Spurs fan yelling at her son, Leonard’s mom stood up and yelled across the aisle to confront the man.

Ms. Leonard does far more talking than her son. The situation was clearly contained and there was never any threat of an altercation, but there’s certainly some animosity between the Leonard family and San Antonio at this juncture.

Leonard’s mom still resides in San Antonio, which is why she was at the game in the first place to support her son.

In the end, this is just basketball. Tempers flaring is nothing new, and we applaud the Leonard family for deflecting the heat for the most part.
